Up for auction is a 1966 Chevy Corvair Corsa Convertible. This is a original turbo Corsa. This car does run but still needs some work to make it road worthy. The brakes need to be bleed and needs a new e-brake cable. Engine runs great I had the carb rebuilt and new fuel filter installed. I also put new tires on it. Interior is in great shape but does need a new carpet. All interior and exterior lights work including under dash lights, glove box light and even a ash tray light. All gauges work including the clock. I did remove the radio but it did work. Both front and rear speakers work. It has a manuel top that does need to be replaced. Body does need some attention. The rockers are starting to bubble and the left front side has had some body work done to it. Windsheild is cracked but all side glass is good. Trunk floor has some surface rust but not rusted threw. Driver floor board has some small holes but passanger side is solid. This car is being sold as is and has a clean title in my name. The California tags just expired on 4/24/13. Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.

Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
