This car is not a trailer queen, but one of the Best Drivers that you will find. The body has had a repaint years ago and has minor nicks and scratches. Still a great looking 48 year old vehicle. The interior is in excellent condition as is all the chome and stainless, inside and out. The top is new and a car cover also is included. The brake system has been redone, New master cylinder, brake shoes and wheel cylinders. The battery is new, carburetor rebuilt and engine tuned up. The gas tank has been removed and cleaned and the sending unit replaced. The car has the optional spinner/ wire wheel hubcaps on, but I have the original standard caps also, all in great condition. The glass is in excellent condition. The front control arm bushings, strut rods and bushings, sway bar rubbers have all replaced. I bought this car out of a 7-8 year dry storage garage and have had to do the above repairs to make it a safe and fun car to drive. I'm the third owner and have all the history of the car plus all manuals and repair manuals. The car drives out great, Fun and safe car to drive.

Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
