Daytona Beach, Florida, United States
NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE!!! HIGHEST BIDDER = NEW OWNER!! Contact Clint at 610-763-8277 for more info! AUCTION ENDS MONDAY NIGHT, FEBRUARY 17, AT 9:00 P.M. EST.
For your consideration is a beautiful 1969 Chevelle. Simply put, this machine is equipped how you would want, like you see it when you close your eyes at night and dream about it. Hugger Orange, 396 V8 Big Block, Muncie 4 speed, 12 Bolt Posi Rear, Power steering & Brakes. Do not hesitate and make that dream a reality today! The car was Atlanta built, and born Azure Turquoise with Turquoise interior. In 1969, the VIN does not confirm it is a factory SS, but it was indeed a factory V8 car. Vehicle was restored about 4 years ago by the previous owner. The Hugger Orange paint has a deep shine and looks great at any angle. No rust issues, bubbles, or chips or scratches. The underside is extremely clean and painted, and a light undercoat consistent with a factory finish, which shows great. No rust, soft spots, patch panels of any kind. In other words, its not Swiss Cheese! Trunk floor was replaced, and is solid using a correct stamped steel replacement panel. Rear quarters were also installed at time of restoration. The fit all around the car line up very nicely. The interior was redone using the Parchment color, which presents very well. Seats, headliner, door panels, armrests, and carpet look great. All of the factory gauges work, and appear to be accurate. In 1969, the factory Tach is in the dash within a cluster of other gauges. Works great and looks sharp! AM/FM Radio is operational and fits in the factory slot. All chrome, SS Badging, and stainless is new or has been replaced. All finish is free from small bumps of surface rust or dings and dents. New Soft Seal Weatherstrips have also been installed. The engine
and trans were rebuilt prior to placing in the car at time of restoration. I
have no paperwork to verify other than a conversation with the previous owner. The
396 starts right up with one pump of the gas, does not smoke, idles right, and
with a Flowmaster Exhaust, sounds absolutely awesome! Has Headers, and an HEI Distributor. The Muncie 4 speed shifts
as it should. Clutch grabs in the right place. 12 Bolt rear with 3.31 gears.
Power Steering and Power Brakes make it truly a pleasure to drive. All in all,
it is a super clean high end driver quality restoration that if were much
nicer, you simply couldn’t enjoy on the road. Save time and money and let the
last guy take the hit. This Chevelle is a drive immediately turn key cruiser
and enjoy today. Please note: The undercarriage photos were taken on a drive on 4 post lift. Any surface rust visible in the corner of the pics is the lift, not the car. Also, on the passenger side rocker with the door open, the brown dot is not a paint chip. It is a bug. Yes, its Florida, we have bugs here. Below is a breakdown of the cowl tag and casting numbers: VIN: 136379A356367 Engine Block Casting Number: 3999290 : 68-72 396/400/402. Engine Stamp: TI209CTB Cowl Tag: ST 69 13637 ATL 282629 779 55-55 PAINT I encourage & welcome pre purchase inspections. I have clean clear Florida title in hand. If you have less than 5 feedback, please email prior to bidding. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Don't assume anything. This is a legal binding contract. If you are the winning bidder, you are obligated to complete the purchase. You are not bidding on the opportunity to come and look at the vehicle and decide if you want to purchase the item! Also, please have all financing or funds in place prior to bidding. In other words, ask your wife first!! $1,000.00 Deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days of auction close. I urge everyone to take a look at my feedback. Bid with confidence! It was 100% until a few weeks ago, when a malicious ebayer left me negative feedback over a $45.00 die cast model car! Apparently, a windshield wiper was damaged in shipping overseas. I attempted to rectify the situation, but the buyer would not respond or contact me at all, and left me negative feedback! Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, 32118. Minutes from major route 95 on the northeast coast of Florida. 10 minutes from (DAB)-Daytona Beach International Airport. 70 miles to (MCO)-Orlando or (SFB)-Sanford International Airports. Fly in and Drive it Home! I will assist with selling worldwide, but payment and arrangements are buyer’s responsibility. I have used several shipping companies in the past, and can recommend shippers to contact, or can be arranged right through ebay and their recommended carriers. Chevrolet Camaro in Korea - Click above for high-resolution image
There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
