1966 Convertible Chevelle Daily Driver1966 Chevy Chevelle ConvertibleThe car looks good is solid with solid floors trunk and body panels, rear panels had a cheap patch job. The car has had a cheap paint job done to it. Paint looks good just prep could have been a little better. Shines great few orange peel spots. Let me be clear this is not a high end convertible this is a car you can jump in and drive it every day anywhere you want to go. It is a REALLY nice driving car. The car is missing a few things like emblems the header bow across the top of the windshield needs replaced and the top fabric. I never replace emblems thinking some one may want to clone the car to an SS model. Engine is a 283v8 with the power pack heads and dual exhaust. (sounds mean) Automatic trans that shifts as it should, brakes are BRAND NEW Replaced every brakes part, good windows go up and down. power steering car. Interior is nice, not perfect but nice. The top frame looks to all be there and goes up and down. I do not have the actual top material you will need to buy that separate and have it installed. Take a look at the pictures and you will see a very nice driver quality car you can drive as is or spend a little money and make it a high dollar show car. Yes this would make an awesome SS clone it has a very nice SS hood. I just noticed some rust through under the passenger door it will need patched but is an easy fix. I have described the car best I can and have only had it a short time. I originally wanted to restore but bought another one and need the room. NO LONGER HAS RALLIES ON IT, Will ship with a set of 17"AMERICAN RACING RIMS, NEEDS NEW TIRES. ONE tire has a slow leak but can be used to transport and move other three hold air, all are very old.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Tue, 28 Aug 2012

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
