Year:1972 Mileage:75000
Location:

Livonia, Michigan, United States

Livonia, Michigan, United States

This is the deal of the year, my buddy is getting a divorce and needs to move this car out before she gets it. $60,000 invested. The car was originally another friends car that was an original 454 ls5 car, he bought it and turned it into what you see here. details are as follows:

509 cubic inches of Reher Morrison super comp drag race motor, 14:1 CR, solid roller that has 4 passes on it and less than 50 street miles

turbo 400 with 3,500 stall converter, trans brake, line lock

ford 9 inch rear with 5.29 gears made by strange, Detroit locker center section

MT et streets 32/14-15 on the car and an extra set of brand new same size MT slicks and the same rims.

4 link rear end with coil over suspension

Trunk mounted Battery with shut off in the rear tail lamp, no holes cut in the body of the car, 12 gallon fuel cell in the trunk

full exhaust is on the car, but unbolts at the collectors, this thing is one of the meanest cars you ever heard with the open Hooker headers.

10 or 12 point roll cage? all of the tube is .125 wall mild steel bars that goes into the engine compartment, full roof halo, bar across the bottom of the dash and 2 bars into the trunk, . The car was certified for either 8.50's or lower, I would have to look at the certification sticker from when we had it certified at Milan Drag way. The roll cage was installed by Sports Fab in Milford Michigan

The car was freshly painted and then the flames were painted on. Interior is complete with the exception of the back seat, but has full carpeting front and back

The valve covers have only been off once to relash the valves before it went to the track the one and only time, other than that, nothing has been touched since it left Reher Morrison.

We also have a 28 foot enclosed 3 axle trailer that is like brand new that will be for sale once the car sells, not before, it has AC and a generator and a pull out canopy, we can cut you deal on both.

Please call with any questions. this car is in pristine condition and fully restored, buy the gas and turn the key at the track or the local cruise night

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

Fri, 31 May 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
