You are bidding on a Chevelle SS like no other. Rare code 36 Spring green poly paint and 95 % original ! I purchased it from the original owner who was 80 yrs old. Since I have owned it it has been meticulously redone not restored. The original owner has the car rustproofed at purchase so the car is 100 % rust free. All the sheet metal is original as well as 80 % of the paint. The interior is 100 original and in perfect shape. The engine was professionally rebuilt by Simonak Performance . It was blueprinted and balanced ported and polished and the compression was raised to 10 to 1. Cam and head work achieves 375 RWHP on the dyno while remaining 100 % matching numbers!. Transmission is a turbo 400 rebuilt with a shift kit and stall converter .The only parts on this car that are not original besides the wheels ( which I do have ) are the master cylinder radio and upgraded aluminum radiator. I have the original floor mats the protect-o-plate all manuals and key chain the car was delivered with. You will be hard pressed to find a more original untouched chevelle right down to the spare tire which is original! It rides like a dream and is quick and reliable and was Never raced. Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
