For sale is a 1971 chevelle ss [clone].It has a 350 v8 that is bored out with a mild cam it sounds like a true muscle car should.The interior is in excellent condition with all new seats,carpet,dash pad,headliner.The exterior is in good shape also with all new chrome trims,front and back bumpers,grille,back windshield ,door handles and mirror. The paint has a very nice shine to it. The only blemishes is a couple of rust bubbles on the bottom back panel that could be easily fixed.It has new bf Goodrich tires and new ss rims.It also will come with a new cd tape player with a 10 disc cd changer ,amp,and 12'' dual speakers in box.The car has plenty of power.you will not be disappointed.The car is being sold as-is with no warranty.The buyer is responsible for pick-up or delivery.I don't accept pay pal so the balance can be paid in full in person or cashiers check.Check will have to clear my bank before the car is removed.Car is being sold locally as well so I reserve the right to end the bidding early.Feel free to ask any questions or to look at the car in person.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
