Selling my 1970 Chevelle Malibu base car. Complete original numbers matching car. I am the 3rd owner. 307 2 barrel ,2 speed power glide auto trans. Original black cherry car. Original black river cloth coated fabric interior. I have verified that the motor, trans and the10 bolt 3.08 non locking rear end are numbers matching. front power disc brakes, Power steering. Ac car. Looks to be all original but been repainted at one time. This would make a great father son project. It will need total restoration. Motor does turn over by key switch BUT NOT RUNNING. All outside lights work as do the turn signals. No carburetor on motor,don't know condition. Car has been off the road for 10+ years. I have new front and rear bumpers for the car. I have new carpet and cylinder-lock kit for the whole car. It will need some sheet metal replaced as it does have some rust. Frame looks solid. Couple small holes in floor. Car will not leave my possession until all funds have cleared. BUYER responsible for ALL shipping arrangements and funds. I tried to describe to the best of my ability. Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.
