1969 Chevelle, Malibu roller. Factory Air-condition (Frigidaire compressor is included.) Power steering with manual brakes. 10 bolt non-positraction rear. Door panels, carpet and dash are new. The seat covers will need to be replaced. The paint is a metallic-gray that was applied by the previous owner. It is an 7.5 out of 10 and isn't perfect by any means but judge for yourself. There are some scratched and chips in the paint. I had planned to repaint it back to the original Olympic Gold. There is rust beneath the drivers side rear window and at the lower side of the front fenders. The body appears solid. The glass is free of cracks but has a few scratches. The original trim will be included. I'm not sure it is a complete set but there is a lot of it in fair condition. I purchased this car with a 350/TH350 from West Texas a few years ago and drove it home. I've sold the drivetrain so this is a roller only. I intended to install a LS 6.0/4L80E combination but have placed it in my 1972 Nova instead. The car has been in my garage since purchased. The tires and wheels are fairly new 7 inch and 10 inch rally's with BF Goodrich tires (the have almost no miles on them.)
Summary: It is not rust-free as I have never found a 60's Era car that was, but it is in pretty good condition. I looked for awhile before buying it. I'm pretty picky so I was going to do a restore. It will make an excellent vehicle when completed or you can drop in a drive train and have at it. The original hood is included. Check out the pictures and ask any questions you have as I may have not addressed something. If you need a picture of something send me a message and I'll get it to you. Shipping is up to you to set-up/purchase. I can assist in loading at my house and will work with you on that. I'll include the car dolly's to make moving easier. A non-refundable payment of $500.00 is due within 24 hours. I will send the Title and the vehicle Power of attorney after Full payment is received. The reserve is reasonably set, I just need my investment back, not trying to make a killin' and as assumed there is no warrantee.

Consumer Reports criticizes small turbo engines for misleading performance, fuel economy claims [w/video]
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Consumer Reports has taken aim at at small-displacement, forced-induction engines, saying the powerplants don't manage to deliver on automaker fuel economy claims. Manufacturers have long held that smaller, turbocharged engines pack all power of their larger displacement cousins with significantly better fuel economy, but the research organization says that despite scoring high EPA economy numbers, the engines are no better than conventional drivetrains in both categories. Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports, says the forced induction options "are often slower and less fuel efficient than larger four and six-cylinder engines."
Specifically, CR calls out the new Ford Fusion equipped with the automaker's Ecoboost 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The institute's researchers found the engine, which is a $795 option over the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, fails to match competitors in acceleration and served up 25 miles per gallon in testing, putting the sedan dead last among other midsize options.
The Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Sonata Turbo and Ford Escape 2.0T all got dinged for the same troubles, though Consumer Reports has found the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the BMW 328i does deliver on its promises. You can check out the full press release below. You can also read the full study on the Consumer Reports site, or scroll down for a short video recap.
GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
