I am selling my 1968 Pro Touring Chevelle Convertible. I bought the car 5 1/2 years ago and had a frame off restoration done on it by Auto Restorations here in Greeley. We replaced the rear quarters, wheel housings and patched a front fender. The car now has no rust, is extremely straight and looks very good in the viper red. The driveline swap is from a 95 corvette so it has the LT1 4L60E combo with several bolt ons like Patriot Tri-Y ceramic long tube headers, CAI, MSD opti and more putting down close to 400 hp. The interior is all custom leather done by Jerry's Upholstery here in Greeley with Covan's dash and gauges, B&M ratchet shifter, Corbeau  and more. The car has a full  pro touring suspension set up from Hotchkiss tubular arms front and rear, CPP sway arms, CPP drop springs and spindles, CPP 12" big brake kit front and rear and a Quick Performance ford 9" 3.50 posi rear end with upgraded axles. The entire car is custom and has a lot of small touches like the HID halo headlights and LED sequential taillights and much more I'm sure I'm forgetting. The car handles very well and runs great. You will not be disappointed!!! If you are local you are welcome to come look at the car. If you have questions please feel free to call me @ 970-405-5620. If you want specific pics or video of something just email me. The reserve is less than it will cost you to build this car so bid often and high. Bidding is a legal contract so don't mess around! Thanks, Trever

The only thing wrong with the car is that the fuel gauge has been acting up recently bouncing all over. I haven't had time to inspect it but it's probably just a bad ground. Not a big deal but I wanted to be honest with how awesome this car really is. This really is an investment that you can have a lot of fun with. Thanks, Trever

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
