There is a small ding in the passengers side front fender from a hammer that flew out of someones hand. You can see it in one of the pictures."

Let me start this off by saying that I am not a dealer or anything.  I bought this car 4 years ago with the car already painted with the black vinyl top. It has a Turbo 350 trans and a carbureted 396 with a 10 bolt rear. It has been on the power tour in 2011 from Florida to Detroit as well.  It has just over 4,800 miles on it since we built the car.

It was a little over a year for the build on the car and here is what we did.
LS1 from a 30k wrecked 2000 Corvette with T56 trans.  We went through the motor and added LS6 intake and heads.  I had the trans rebuilt and upgraded the internals at the same time by Huntington Transmission. It has a heavy duty clutch, almost too heavy in my opinion.
Dual electric fan cooling (Car never sees above 180, even when its 110 outside, like on the power tour)
Mosier 12 bolt rear with 31 spline axles
Computer was flashed by Street and Performance
Aeromotive fuel system with new tank, sending unit etc..
600 Series Steering Box from CPP
Full tubular suspension from both CPP and Detroit Speed
Granada style 4 wheel disc brakes with cross drilled and slotted rotors on all 4 corners with power booster
Front and rear sway bar (Detroit Speed)
Custom headers and 3" exhaust (Mikes GM Village)
Battery is in the trunk
Kill switch in the back
All new Steering components with bump steer
18x10 Wheels (Dont remember brand) They were powdercoated black
275/35/18 rear
245/40/18 front
Tires have 4,800 miles on them so they are like brand new
Vintage A/C
New dash with CD player
New interior
New Carpet
New Seats
New Headliner
Autometer Gauge Set
All new exterior chrome trim

The car is awesome to say the least, it handles amazing.  It has been on local auto cross track 2 times, and everyone is always amazed.  In 2011 it was shot for the cover of Hot Rod Power Tour Issue in Missouri with 3 other cars.  It  gets 25-26 mpg on the highway with no problems at all.

I am selling the car becasue I want to build or buy a pro touring 66-67 nova wagon or 55-57 chevy wagon.  There is no other reason.  I DO NOT need the money .  So please DO NOT offer me some stupid offer.  Dont waste my time and I wont waste yours wither.  Email or call with any questions.  The car is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time.  I have a bottom dollar on the car.  There is about 75k into it as it sits now, but I am realistic.  You are more than welcome to come see the car and test drive it.  I do not want someone to tell me its not what I described after they buy it site unseen.

The car was not built by some back yard garage, it was built by Dons East Coast Performance in Lindenhurst, NY.  They have been around for over 30 years.  The car was on there Christmas cards in 2011.

There is a $1,000 deposit due immediately upon auction end, and it is non refundable.  So have the money before you start bidding.  I will help with loading the car onto a transport or what not, as long as you set it up.

2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.

Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.

Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction

Sun, 17 Feb 2013

It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
