This is my '67 Chevrolet Chevelle racecar.

I've owned this car for 25 years.

This car has a lot of drag racing history.
  • It was built by a well-known racer, Donald Frazier.
  • This car went to the Bracket Nationals three years in a row representing ATCO Raceway in New Jersey.
The car is extremely well built.
  • It has the factory frame, factory front suspension, but we made it rack and pinion steering.
  • The back is fully tubbed, and a Dana 60 rear with Summer Brothers spool and axles, ladder bar suspension, and it can hold up to 15 x 33 tires.
  • The interior is all made out of aluminum.
  • The car is set-up for turbo 400 or powerglide transmission.
  • The car comes with headers and drive shaft and other parts.
  • Car has a fiber glass front end, steel doors as the pictures show.
Car needs:
  • It needs a hood, trunk lid, rear bumper, tail light extensions, rear glass, and both quarter glass.
  • It also needs to be rewired and the brake system has to be updated, but the brake lines are all there.
When I raced this car, it passed NHRA inspections for many years with no problems.

Car has a 10 point roll cage. It's a very safe car. It's weighs 2680 lbs without the driver, with big block Chevy, and a turbo 400 transmission.

The Car went 9.29 ET in a quarter mile, 135 MPH with a 1.32 60 foot time with 468 Cubic inch engine. Car hooks hard and carries the front tires very well.

The body has ZERO rust as the pictures show. It has always been stored in a heated garage when not being raced.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war

Sun, 30 Dec 2012

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
