After owning this car since 1985, I have decided to part with it.  The car was hit, while parked, by a drunk driver and sent into a tree.  The front and rear were smashed pretty good.  However, both doors open and close nicely. The floor pans are solid and the only rust is surface and where the car was damaged (the picks try to show detail).  The car has been sitting for several years.  I don't have the time or resources to fix it. This would make a great restoration project or a nice parts car. The registration has been kept current and the title is clear.

The stock, 327 engine was rebuilt prior to accident and has about 20k miles on it. It has a 4-barrel Rochester Quatra-jet. The original intake was a 2-barrell which is pictured with the extra parts. The 2-speed power glide transmission is in need of work and may have to be rebuilt.  Due to the accident, the car cannot shift into park and if started needs to be done in nuetral. (the shifter is mis-alligned)

Extra parts include: Misc. trim, distributors/caps, water pump, original fan, extra exhaust manifolds, centerline rims, AC from another 67 parts car, and more.

NOTE:

Please: Serious buyers only!!  This is the second time listed on Ebay. Don't bid if you don't have the $$!

I am not an expert nor have any experience in body, frame or mechanical work. I don't know if the frame is bent or not. I, also, am not certain that just a new battery will start this car. Again it has been sitting for several years.

This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS with no warranty, expressed written or implied. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
