1965 Malibu SS, let me start out by saying that we got the car from a gentleman who was having the car restored and ran out of money before it was finished, the car has a 327 in it(so we are told) brand new and runs like it is as well. The motor has a 4 barrel aluminum intake with a new electric choke edelbrock carb. The motor is backed by a 4 speed transmission, everthing about the motor and transmission appears to be brand new and in perfect working order. The interior of the car is all brand new and all factory correct stuff for the car. The car has all black interior with front bucket seats and no center console. The outside of the car is done in the correct factory color red for the car, and is laser straight with all gaps adjusted correctly. From looking at the car, everthing appears to be factory correct and in amazing shape. The only thing that are not factory orginial to the car is the brand new set of crager s/s wheels and tires, which would have been correct for the time period just not from the factory correct. The car is a REAL 138 true SS, and when restored was done in the factory color combo. The car looks really amazing in person and has taken home several awards since being completed. The car rides and drives with no problems and as far as i know everthing on the car works just like it should. The only thing that i know the car to need is a radio, ive been tossing it around on just what kind to get since the car has been completed, and im going to let the next ower make that call on just what kind he or she wants in their car. The car is for sale locally and is subject to be taken off ebay if sold. The car is also sold as is with no warranty. A 25% deposit is due within 3 days of the auctions end and the balance within 7 more when the car is to be picked up or arrangments are made for the car to be shipped. If you have any questions about the car please fill free to ask and i will gladly answer them to the best of my ability. Thanks and god bless Charlie 251-751-7530

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers
Fri, 11 Apr 2014
Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
