2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Base Coupe 2-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Allen, Texas, United States
Up for sale is a used 2001 Chevy Cavalier 2-door coupe. It runs pretty well, and the A/C was blowing cold when I drove it the other day to test it out. It had an exterior wash and a comprehensive vacuuming recently. It only has 112,625 miles which is pretty light for a 2001. It has a CD player and working radio. It has a clear title. The car was my mother-in-law's, and I have the title and keys in hand. Kelley Blue Book has its value at $1,820 in fair condition. Most of its deficits are purely cosmetic. It has cracks in the dashboard from the sun. It also has a broken piece of plastic above one of the air vents. The hood and trunk have some sun damage to the paint job, and the exterior has hail damage. The inspection is good for a few months more, but the registration runs out at the end of May. It could also use a good shampooing on the upholstery. There is a stain from a spill on the front passenger seat. The trunk occasionally leaks a little water, but the trunk has a spare tire in it for emergencies too. The back left brake light seems to need replacing more often than most as well. It could also use a tune up and oil change (just for good measure), but like I said, it seems to run fine.
Please check out all of the photos, and let me know if you have any questions. Pickup is from Allen, TX only. Please check my 100% feedback and bid with confidence. I try to describe my items as accurately as possible. This car is being sold AS IS, and there are no warranties or returns offered or allowed. Serious bidders only!! Non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay security. Thanks and happy bidding!!! |

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. For more on the what to expect out of GM's new SUVs, click on the C/D link below.
"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]
Thu, 07 Feb 2013For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting?
