Up for sale is my Granddads good ole 1991 Chevrolet Caprice. I am the second owner, although my Granddad bought it brand new in 1991 and I've only put a couple thousand miles on it so its basically a one owner. The good, I have installed these new items since I have had the vehicle. Plugs and wires, complete air condition, radiator, thermostat, 4 new tires, alternator, battery, belt and it has no leaks. Also my Granddad put in a brand new transmission at 70,000 miles. The bad, its a cold starter so it takes a about a second to crank unless you drive it every day, the passenger and back seat windows roll down although they'll go off track a little so you have to push the window up went you start rolling it up, the front window also will not work at all sometimes, sometimes when you first crank it or let the engine idle then hit the accelerator some clear smoke comes out although when your driving it never smokes, something is wrong with the defrost switch because no matter what setting you have it on the air condition/heater will also come out of the defrost, also only one of the radio speakers work. The body is in good shape for its age. There's paint chips on the rear and front bumper also there's a little rust on the top of the backdoor/roof(see pics). Also it has a dent on the lower back left panel under the door(see pics). There's other blemishes on the body but there so small the camera cant capture it. The interior is in descent shape. Nothing major but the interior is over 20 years old so its not perfect. I really don't wanna sale this but I don't need it. It'll make someone a good vehicle. I also have a video of the engine running if you'll like me to email it too you. I drove the vehicle to Savannah and back yesterday with no problems which is a two hour trip. The vehicle is sold AS IS and I would suggest that everyone should contact me and take the vehicle for a test drive prior to bidding. thanks for looking.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

Chevrolet Cruze EV - Click above for high-res image gallery
The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
