*BIG BLOCK*

PLEASE READ THE AD COMPLETELY

This car runs down the road like a dream, very smooth, transmission is tight, motor is strong, suspension floats right along, and the brakes work great. This is definitely a driver's car. Whether you want to cruise it to work, car shows, or up the highway and out of town, this car is ready for it. The car has a 454ci engine, T400 Transmission, and 12 Bolt Rear End. It originally had a 396ci engine. I was told that the intake and exhaust manifolds are original but I'm not sure how to verify that. The body of the car is pretty darn solid except for the rear lower sections of both fenders. There is some rust on both sides but I purchased patch panels for both sides and ill throw them in with the purchase of the car. The paint of the car is oxidized from years of sitting but could be buffed up nicely, some chipping on the hood and nose, and a few dingers and dents here and there. The left rear quarter trim has a piece missing but I have another one that is COMPLETE that will be thrown in with the car!! Everything I've noticed I took a picture of so you can see what is going on with the car. The trunk, floors, frame, and underbody are VERY solid. The interior is pretty nice, good carpet, seats have good cushion still, dash is Nice, as well as the instrument panels. The seat has a couple tears in it, as well as some buttons missing. The headliner has a small tear too. To me this car is in great shape especially in comparison to a lot of others. It has its minor cosmetic flaw which are shown in the pictures, but to the right person this is a gem.... to someone that wants a solid car, smooth driver, and that's ready to hit the road.

Please ask any questions about the car that you feel fit, I will answer them honestly and to the best of my knowledge. If you would like specific pictures please let me know and I will get them over right away, as I'm not here to hide anything about the car. Also the car is available for show if you are in the area, I would be happy to show it. Also its for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

The Car is being sold as is with no warranty.

The buyer is responsible for pick up and/or shipping of the vehicle.

If you have questions you are also more than welcome to call or text as well 815-980-0125 if I do not answer, leave a message and ill get back to you.

Thanks for Looking and Happy Bidding

Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
