Very stock unmolested Non raced, rare Camaro SS SLP

I have a very nice Black/Black 2001 Camaro SS T-Tops, with all of the SLP upgrades from the factory. The SS came from the factory with an LS1 for 2001 which has the LS6 intake and this car also has the Tremec T56 6-speed manual with the factory SLP upgraded Hurst shifter. With the SLP upgrades the LS1 is putting out 345HP and 350TQ. Stock.
~59,000 miles and is garage kept, She is not a garage queen and I drive it regularly on nice days, but it is very clean and is not raced and runs great. Like new tires, Clutch does NOT slip, no grinding in any gears, Syncros are in very good condition including the 2-3 shift.

SLP factory installed options:
SLP UPGRADES +20HP =345HP
SLP CENTER MOUNT EXHAUST

Although the Autocheck says this was in an accident back in 2003 I have personally had this car on a lift and looked over every inch, there are no welds on any core supports or any other part of the vehicle. The frame is perfectly straight with no signs of straightening at all. All suspension looks like the stock components. You are more than welcome to come and look the vehicle over before purchase. This is a lot of car for the money and runs terrific. I regularly take this car to the car shows and cars and coffee and it is always the cleanest and best sounding Camaro SS.

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
