I have up for bid a very nice Chevrolet Z28. I haven't seen many in this condition, it has been a local car here all its life and was stored for around 20 years in a shaded building. Since it was stored inside most of its life the interior is like new the dash is perfect, the steering wheel is perfect, the taillights that are normally cracked up look like new. all the glass and rubber has been replaced. It has new carpet, new door panels, new package tray, new insulation, new tires, new paint, new decals, new wheel bands and centers. It has a fresh small block and a rebuilt turbo 350 trans with a shift kit. I also have the original matching numbers engine that goes with the car. It also has completely new exhaust with original Walker tailpipes( the original manufacturer of GM Z28 tailpipes). It also has original GM nos window wipe rubbers. This car is one of the best looking Z28s I have seen, the black paint is stunning and the silver decals really pop on this car. You will not be disappointed, anyone interested can come anytime and take a look at this car in person, pictures don't do it justice. I want to be totally honest about this car, I hated the computer controlled carb on this car so it has been converted to basically a 1980 Z28.I took off the carb and the computer and installed an electric choke 1980 style carb, it works a whole lot better. What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.
