Complete restoration. This Camaro has been completely gone through and it shows. Very nice, drives like it just came from the factory, attention to detail. 350 CI, 325 HP, Muncie M21, 4 speed. New front windshield, new PST (Performance Suspension Technology) front suspension, new rotors, bearings, pads, calipers, new wheel cylinders in rear drum brakes. New leaf springs in back, new shocks front and rear. New gas tank and fuel line to front. Rear end has new pinion and axle seals, 3:36 gears 10 bolt. New drive line and u-joints. Hedman headers coated with American Thunder Flowmaster exhaust for 1970-73 Camaro. GM paint code is #26 Mulsanne Blue. New interior is black, includes new front seat foams, comfort weave for seat material. New dash pad with Covan Classic carbon fiber dash bezel with black faced Auto Meter guages, new steering wheel. New headliner was professionally installed. New black loop carpet. Kenwood CD player with front input for Ipod hookup. Classic Crager SS wheels with B. F. Goodrich tires. This is a Texas car purchased in Balcones Heights, Texas in March of 2005. I’m the third owner of this classic Camaro and it has not been down the road in 24 years, last tagged in 1989. C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
