Here's a nice 1998 Chevrolet K3500 that runs excellent for a low Reserve! Hard to find 1 Ton, crew cab 4x4 truck. The 7.4 Vortec runs quiet and smooth and makes lots of power. The new owner is going to love this truck. These are getting harder and harder to come by every year. The body does have a few minor dents and dings, (refer to the photos). But.... the truck is very decent. You have got to see the condition of the inside of the bed! We have sold MANY vehicles here on Ebay, and have maintained an impressive positive feedback rating. That doesn't happen by accident, by misrepresenting vehicles, or offering junk. I will give you an accurate description of this vehicle to the best of my ability, and you will drive away with an incredibly nice truck. The paint is original as far as I can tell, but obviously it has peeled in several places. There are several scratches, dings and dents throughout, but nothing horrible. The pictures show the truck with some dirt and dust on it, but it cleans up real nice. There are foul no odors of any kind inside. The front and rear seats are in excellent condition. It does not smell like cigarettes inside. The carpet is clean and has been protected by floor mats and is very presentable. The entire vehicle shows pride of ownership inside and out. It's very obvious it has been cared for. The 7.4 Vortec engine starts up immediately on the 1st crank. No squeels, leaky injectors, smoke, knocks, drips, ect...! There is NO check engine light on. In fact, there are no warning lights on of any kind. Everything functions as it should. The brakes stop great. The underside is as rust free as it gets. This is a nice example of the classic body style truck that is going to make the owner want to keep it forever. Interior wise, all of the windows go up and down. locks work, Radio works. Horn works, lights all work, heater works, Air conditioning blows COLD, 4x4 High and low range works, shifter is on the floor and the front end engauges immediately. The transmission shifts crisply and firmly as it should through all the gears. Everything I've tried out works. I can't find anything that doesn't operate correctly. As nice as this K3500 is, it obviously isn't brand new, and it isn't showroom perfect. It's nice, though. Especially for the mileage and year. The tires are in Fair to O.k. condition. The wheels are factory steel. The exhaust system is leak/ rust free. All emissions equipment is in place and un-tampered with. The glass and windshield are all perfect. We just had a new windshield installed. Overall, it's actually an impressive truck if you can get past the factory GM flaking Paint. Since I am only human, there's a chance I've missed some small or even large stuff. Inspections. I highly encourage inspections on all vehicles offered, either in person, or by a hired professional. This is to satify YOU. There are many different companies that specialize in doing nothing but that. Have a list of questions for them that are critical to you. They generally charge between $100-$175 and THAT may truly be a bargain to give you piece of mind and any additional info you may need. The vehicle will be made available for inspection by appointment. If you decide to forego the inspection, there really is no reason you should be unhappy about anything after the auction has ended. Most of our vehicles are generally purchased at dealer only auctions for the sole purpose of resale. We sell these vehicles FAR below any dealer retail prices. This gives you room for any additional repairs that you see fit. They have not undergone ANY type of inspections/ or specific tests for ANYTHING. This includes emmissions and safety inspections. We cannot guarantee compliance of the vehicle for your state, because every state has different requirements as far as safety and emissions inspections are concerned. Titles: We are a licenced bonded, and insured Colorado motor vehicle dealer. All vehicles that we purchase and offer for resale have a clear Title. (meaning no lienholders). We do NOT knowingly deal in any vehicles with salvage title histories, period. The State of Colorado, along with many other states, automatically exempt the recorded mileage on the title for any vehicle over ten years old, and over 100,000 miles. Therefore, on these vehicles, the titles will simply be "exempted miles" and have a "0" indicated for odometer reading. That does not mean the mileage is unknown, or that it has been tampered with, it simply means they (The State), are no longer keeping track of the mileage. We also occasionally need to title these vehicles in our business' name if they are from out of state and do not have room for any further reassignments. This may take up to 30 days, and we have no control over that, as we are at the States mercy . UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car
Thu, 14 Feb 2013It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
