2000 Chevrolet Silverado LS, 3500 (1 ton) four door crew cab, 237,000 miles and is ready another 237,000. The truck runs great, and does not leak a drop. It was customized for looooooog road trips, and has two TV's in the back head rest. I had my PS2 hooked up to it. It has a DVD player with wireless rear head phones , Bluetooth, and XM. The truck has the removable 5th wheel hitch, as well as a wireless remote hydraulic 1500lb tommylift lift gate, and a regular hitch. New Battery, and tires (10 ply ) have 6000 miles. Comes with 2 inch and 2 11/32 Draw tie receivers. Keyless entry as well. ALL maintenance has been performed. transmission, fuel pump, water pump, fan, and fan clutch, Oil, air filters, tune up. I just installed a brand new radiator I simply do not use it anymore, and I'm selling my 5th wheel as well.
Lift gate alone cost me 2500.00 My truck is for sale locally, so this auction may end abruptly. I can pick you up at the airport, or I can ship this anywhere you'd like. My friend owns an auto transport business, so the cost would be 1/2 of the normal fee. I've had it moved to Miami (from LA) for 650.00 I am the original owner, and I have taken good care of the truck. It's reliable, and perfect for delivery's. I used it to deliver copiers, and office equipment. Most of the miles come from towing my 5th wheel, which weighs 11,000 loaded, and does not even feel it. It has the 7.4 liter, 454 which is reliable, and easy to work on as well. The hazard lights flicker when activated, and the windshield wipers don't always return to the home position. This is a minor electrical malfunction, which I never corrected, but felt I should disclose. It has run 210 degrees it's whole life. I took it into the mechanic, and he noticed it was running 215 to to 220. He recommended a new radiator, so I replaced it. Happy Bidding ! Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
