1994 Chevrolet C3500 (1 ton pickup) with a factory 454 big block (7.4 Litre) & a full-floating 4.56 posi axle for sale. Less than 1/2% of Chevy trucks that year were ordered like this. This girl is the cleanest around. New GM Goodwrench Mark V 454 crate motor with low miles. New Michelin LTX M/S tires (these last 80k). New powder-coated (top & bottom) ultra-heavy duty flatbed (designed/fabbed by Green Beret engineer & welded by an individual who welds together the ion sources that steer satellites in space [serious talent]). New Curt Class IV receiver hitch. New ultra-sweet custom Flowmaster (Delta 50 series [Flowmaster's quietest mufflers w/ least interior resonance...this truck sounds amazing]) dual 2.5" exhaust system. New Kenwood/Kicker sound system w/ USB & aux. input ports. This is the Chevy truck that was built to run for generations, the one that earned the reputation "Like a rock." This truck has the simple fuel injection system that runs pretty much forever (newer fuel injection is saddled with cubic yards of wiring w/ Chinese made modules & sensors galore [engineered to bleed you out, report you to the gestapo & keep you buying new cars every 10 yrs.]). Optioned perfectly with the stripped down Cheyenne work truck package (simple [single] *real glass* headlights, instead of the [dual stacked] *plastic* headlights that turn yellow & pit in the sun, no A/C. . .real mechanics hate A/C since it adds a bunch of parasitic debris...cluttering the engine, firewall & under dash with a bunch of plastic that breaks & makes service unpleasant [unpleasant = $$$ to your mechanic], manual crank windows & locks [nothing to break there, or weight to sag the doors]. Clean the interior in seconds, just rinse with water & the crud drains right out. *Carpet, by the way, is the single biggest destroyer of vehicles, virtually all rust starts from carpet moisture retention; no real truck has carpet (ask any old farmer). This truck turns heads wherever she goes.  P.S. This truck is ridiculously over-engineered (you could toss a link from a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier on the flatbed, no problem. . .& haul the anchor behind, on a trailer) & has been ridiculously loved & babied (flatbed is scratch free & waxed). This is real America, built to last.

Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Sun, 27 Jan 2013

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
