For sale is my 1973 Chevy Cheyenne Super C20 with only 78157 miles and  a 427 and 4 speed trans. This Truck is one of the cleanest 1973 trucks you will find for sale anywhere and can be driven anywhere. With over 3400 spent in the last 6 mo the truck is ready for work or play. I have over 50 photos in this listing please let all photos load and scroll down I will describe the truck and highlight any problems how ever so slight. The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early

The body is very nice and all original 1973 metal with all original paint and trim intact and a virtually rust free body and frame. I say virtually rust free body due to the fact there is one small spot in the paint the size of a finger tip that has slight bubble almost impossible to see, I took a close up picture to show. The paint has a nice shine and all trim is very nice as are bumpers with one small dent in the front bumper The interior is in excellent shape with no rips or tears in the seat. The dash is perfect and door panels are very nice. all original soft ray glass and am/fm radio . All lights, turn signals, clearance lights, wipers, washer fluid work perfectly.

The truck is great and is a very nice original truck with one exception the 454 was removed and a 1969 3963512 427 2 bolt main from a 1969 impala was added to give the truck a little bite. The motor was topped of with a set of oval port heads 3931063 and an aluminum intake and holley 780 DP with a msd ignition and billet distributor. The truck is an animal and will set you back in the bench seat. the truck also has power disc brakes and power steering. The heads were redone with all new bronze guides, new comp cam springs, valve seals, and 3 angle valve job. The rear wheel cylinders were also done in april. The 4 speed shifts perfect and the truck cruises perfectly and easy at 75 mph. The frame and box of the truck are rust free and in great shape. The truck had a camper shell on it most of its life and had Rusty Jones rust inhibitor used on the bed and wheel wells. The rims all except the spare have been changed from the original split ring and have plenty of tread.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
