1970 Gmc Chevy K20 4x4 3/4 Ton on 2040-cars
Ramona, California, United States
Hi you are looking at a mostly original 1970 GMC K20 The engine was rebuilt at the cost of $3500 it has a new starter, water pump new HEI distributor and new plug wires new Holley carb new belts, and muffler. And it has a Turbo 350 Trans that was also rebuilt. The truck is a very highly optioned camper special it has spicer locking hubs, Factory locker in the rear end factory AC that is all complete but needs to be recharged. Everything works on the truck except the AC. All the lights work head, turn, and brake and dome. All the gauges work . It also has a 12k Warn winch that I have never tried. The paint on the truck looks to be mostly original from the cab forward. And the truck has its share of small dings and scratches. And the bed has been repainted and looks good the fenders hood and roof have a couple spots Where the paint is thin but the paint still shiny. There is almost no rust in this truck The floors , rockers , cab mounts and cab corners are almost perfect, roof drip rail has no rust. The passenger inner fender has a small spot under the battery about 2 in by 1/2 in. and there are a couple small blisters on the drivers sill plate. The tires on the front are almost new and the rears look new but have some checking. The truck run good and drives good. And if you need any parts for these trucks I have lots and I have other 67-72 long and short 2wd and 4wd. This truck is a very hard to find highly optioned deluxe camper special.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes
Wed, 31 Oct 2012It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
