Greetings,
I bought this truck at the Mecum Kissimmee Auction in January, 2012. The paperwork I received at auction stated it had a frame off restoration in 2008. I drove it home to Charleston, SC after auction....400 miles with no issues. It's always been a very good running machine and I've done several key upgrades since for safety and reliability. If you've ever restored one of these trucks, you know how expensive it can be. I never skimped on parts as you will see below. I will make it as brief as possible but I want you to know what you are getting if you choose to buy my truck. In SC, you must have AC. This truck has a aftermarket unit that works and blows very cold. Also has a working heater.
BRAKE UPGRADE:
Parts bill from this alone was $1231 ( have receipt) all parts are easily replaced should/when they wear out.
Purchased from Performance Online out of California
1963-70 6 lug stock spindle disc brake wheel kit (deluxe)
Cross drill and gas slot upgrade
Braided stainless brake hose upgrade to 10mm with a GM Caliper
Power brake booster kit 11" disc fronts. drum rear(rebuilt)
New brake proportioning valve
IGNITION UPGRADE:
All MSD to include MSD 6AL / MSD coil and distributor as well as spark plug wires. Carb was rebuilt and jetted when ignition was done by experienced Chevy mechanic who also races at local tracks. Truck fires right up and runs perfect with a "just right"rumble that you would want and expect.
STEERING UPGRADE:
Installed chrome IdidIt column shift with TILT ($421). New Grant wheel (signals and horn function)
COOLING upgrade:
American Radiator with two 1" cores. Dual fans. Keeps truck running at no greater than 190 Degrees even at 95 degrees here in Charleston.
Miscellaneous: performed in 2008
Truck has aftermarket headers with new aluminum gaskets(2012) and true dual flow master exhausts.
New gas tank was installed in stock position.
Just replaced the rear main seal (June2013) and I have a total replacement seal kit from Summit that will go to new owner so you have that covered down the road. Also replaced the oil pan(orange stock) and transmission pan (chrome) and their respective seals. Rear differential was serviced last year with new cover (chrome) fluid and seal. Has 3.73 gears.
Almost forgot- Installed a 3 pt. seatbelt for driver and passenger from LMC Truck.
Truck starts/runs/drives/stops as it should. The front brakes do squeak a bit when they get hot. You might eliminate this with a different shoe compound- these came with performance kit. Truck stops straight and true as is.
All hoses are good, top hose was replaced when I put in radiator.
The cab and the bed floor are original. All other fenders and tailgate are replacements. There is a tiny bit of surface rust on passenger side interior door frame that is starting....about the size of two quarters. It will need attention at some point but again, it has just started and is very minor.
If you have any questions, please ask.
This is a turnkey truck. I put it in one show and it won a trophy locally. It's not absolutely perfect but it is very nice and something you can get in and drive and be very proud of for years to come. It does get admiring looks and thumbs up whenever I drive. The velocity yellow paint has a terrific shine and really fits a short bed muscle era truck. Speaking of muscle, this C10 will flat out get up and go! Ive never abused it, but I do enjoy the sound and the acceleration it provides for a bit of a thrill from time to time. It is tuned and ready with synthetic oil and non ethanol premium gasoline. I also use a zinc additive when changing oil just for longevity of internal parts. I am selling because I am building a cabin in Western NC and I need the liquidity. I've enjoyed it and you will too.
Of course there is no warranty on something of this age. It is sold as is but I believe you could drive it just about anywhere if you wanted to.
I have a 100% Ebay rating and have sold 3 vehicles over the years on Ebay including a 2011 Cadillac CTSV that I drove to Utah for the buyer! I've had pleasant experiences on eBay and I am a nice man but please don't waste our time if you are not a serious buyer or do not have the funds to complete transaction. I will report non-paying bidders to eBay.
I expect a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction close. I can store truck in my garage for 30 days until you or your shipper comes to get it. It must be paid in full for me to store.
I will entertain reasonable offers. If you are out of USA, I would gladly drive truck to one of the ports here in Charleston to be shipped to you. (Buyer pays for actual shipping) The first vehicle I sold on eBay went to Holland!
Thanks for looking at my auction!

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
