Thank you for viewing this auction for this smokin' Rat Rodish 1971 Chevrolet C-10 short wheel base pick up. Great opportunity to own a killer ride you can start driving right away with a very low budget.
A lot of money has been invested into this truck, you certainly can't build this truck for the selling price. Like all these toys, someone else's loss, could be your gain.
The exterior is truly solid, with no major, dents, dings, nicks, or rust. The flat black paint is a descent paint job, but not show quality. The interior has two bucket seats. Included in the sale is an original C-10 bench... if that's what you prefer. The bench is blue, so you might want to get it reupholstered (or not). The truck does need a new carpet as the current one has seen better days. The radio is a face off Pioneer CD player and up grated speakers. The head lights are a full HID installation and just gives the truck the perfect touch.
Installed in the truck is an air ride suspension (air bags), but ONLY in the rear. So please keep in mind the truck does drop lower than what you see in the pictures. The bags are not connected to a compressor, so in order to inflate the rear bags you have to utilize a valve installed in the back of the bed by driver corner (just like a tire valve). It fully inflates or disinflated in a matter of seconds.
Under the hood: You'll find the iconic 350 V8, with several mods, such as: headers, intake manifold, carb, cams, valve covers and full exhaust. The motor runs strong and has tremendous power...you can burn rubber all day. The transmission is 3 speed and shifts extremely smooth. The gas tank has been moved to the rear and is no longer in the cabin as it comes from factory.
I have included as many photos possible to assist in my description. However, if you feel you need additional photos and/or have any questions feel free to contact me via message or call/text (786) 486-7746 and I'll be glad to assist you any way possible. If you need the truck shipped anywhere in the county or internationally and need help with that...I got you covered (at your expense). Please do not assume anything as this is a AS-IS sale.
Thanks again! and happy bidding!!

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

Why the Corvette's Performance Data Recorder can be illegal in some states
Fri, 26 Sep 2014The Performance Data Recorder with Valet Mode available on the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray seems like a fantastic tool for many owners. Whether they are taking 720p video while lapping the track in their new 'Vette, or just want to protect their purchase from inconsiderate joyriders, the system offers a lot of functionality in one package. However, one of the PDR's features might get buyers in trouble with the law, and it has nothing to do with recording some illicit high-speed driving on a favorite back road. The problem hinges on the various state laws concerning a person's right to privacy.
According to a letter posted by Jalopnik, Chevy dealers are asking 2015 Corvette owners not to use the Valet Mode portion of the PDR because it records audio in the cabin, in addition to performance specs. That's a problem because privacy laws vary from state to state with some requiring just one side's consent to tape sound and others requiring all parties to agree. According Jalopnik, 15 states mandate everyone's permission beforehand, but it's not clear whether these numbers are up to date. (Actually, the report varies, saying 13 states in some places and 15 in a list.)
According to the letter, Chevy is already working on a software update for the near future to rectify the issue. It's possible that simply adding a warning to drivers and the ability to turn off the audio recording function in Valet Mode might solve the problem. Obviously, this doesn't preclude Corvette drivers from using the performance aspect of the PDR, and owners are free tape lap after lap at the track.
