Year:1987 Mileage:100000
Location:

New Albany, Indiana, United States

New Albany, Indiana, United States

This is a mechanically sound truck four wheel drive works great. Only thing machanically that needs to be fixed to be a daily driver is the play in the steering wheel. Since I only use this truck for snow removal I have become used to it. Been told by machanic its has something to do with stearing gear box. Plow has new blade only used once or twice thats one or two full days. Plow easily removes two pins flip of the chain. Truck has 350 engine in it. Carburator was rebuilt two winters ago.  New exhaust from exhaust manifold back  "Spring 2013"  Truck has good tires. Transfer case was rebuilt 3 or 4 winters ago. I have a extra hood and a extra seat for the truck.

This truck paid for itself first year I owned it. Plow and truck go together truck was bought to fit plow this is a heavy duty plow. doesn't look like it but this truck will push more snow than you can imagine. and drag too.  I've cleared lots with snow as deep as 18" of snow of course it took more than one pass it took several but never had to chain up.

This is truely a great work truck Key word work truck!  it is machanically sound I would not be scared to drive from IN. to CA. wouldn't wanna pay the full bill but not a dought it wouldn't make it.

Mieneke estimate on steering was Best case $200 Worst case $400    Truck is driveable the play is left to right 10 to 2  11 to 1   for reaction time..

Only serious bidders please plow equipment installed alone is worth over $1500.00 this is a solid steel plow with a new  blade where truck body has some rust spots truck bed is in great shape only rust hole is under drive door in door jam. Engine, Transmission, Transfercase, rearend, ect mechanically sound truck 4X4  with tow package heat works .  NO RESERVE IT WILL SELL SOMEONE WILL GET A GREAT MACHINE TO MAKE SOME MONEY!!!  Made $1200.00 last snow fall Dec 6th 2013 don't miss out this year looks to be a good one for snow if nothing else it may pay for itself this year it did the first year I owned it. P.S. If you bid on this I will expect comunication at some point before Auction ends I hold the right to bounce a bid if no communication.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.

Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
