SELLING A 1972 CHEVY C10 SHORT BED. TRUCK IS IN NICE BUT NOT PERFECT CONDITION. IT HAS A BUILT UP 350 WITH B&M SLAP SHIFTER. HAS A MILD CAM. RUNS AND SOUNDS GREAT. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GREAT AND NO REAL LEAKS. BODY IS IN GOOD DRIVER CONDITION. THERE IS SOME BONDO HERE AND THERE AND PAINT IS FAIRLY NEW BUT NOT A SHOW PAINT JOB. LOOKS GREAT FROM 10 FEET, EVEN 5 FEET BUT UP CLOSE THERE IS SOME FLAWS. STILL A LOOKER AND GETS ATTENTION. MOST ALL OF OUTSIDE CHROME IS NEW, EVEN THE OUTER CHROME GRILLE IS NEW. Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16

The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
