For your viewing, I have a 1972 Chevy C10 Custom Delxue, short bed, fleet side truck with an older restoration painted it's orginal Med Blue.  The truck is equipped with power steering, power brakes, disk in front and drum in the rear.  The truck has an upgraded engine, 383 with a 700R 4 speed auto, ceramic coated Hooker headers, Edelbrock manifold and Carb. The exhaust system is all new with a X camber and sounds awesome. The truck has been lowered correctly and drive straight with no funny sounds.  This truck has many factory options like, rally wheels, Custom Delxue package, A/C, rain gutter crome moldings, very rare, rear factory installed rear leaf springs instead of the coil springs and many more options.  The truck has a aftermarket stereo in the glove box with speakers in the kick panels.  No cut dash or doors.  The interior is nice with tweed covered seat and door panels with new seat belts.  Over condition is good for its age. The bad,  a few chips on the hood, does have a small oil leak, not sure where, driver door could use some adjustment has it hangs a little when you open it, not much, A/C blow cool, not ice cold and thats about it.  I just purchased the truck from AZ and have decided to go a different direction, so no fire sale as I'm in no hurry to let this nice truck go.  Feel free the call with any questions 661-343-2789 and thanks for looking.  Mark

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.
