This is my 1969 Custom/10 with the 350-automatic 3spd trans and factory A/C. New Carb, starter, battery. The motor and trans were rebuilt in 2005 and have 9 thousand miles on them with the truck having 150,500 on it. The truck is from Texas and I have the 69 license plate from it on the front of the truck (in florida-you only need a back valid plate).

The drip rails are not compromised and around the windows show no rust with like new rubbers from a repaint in the late 90's.  The truck runs like a dream, very smooth on the highway with 4 new BF Goodrich tires and new dual exhaust, and new brakes. It stops perfectly on 4 drums, with no pulling. All lights, wipers, gauges  work. The body is in great shape--the bed is in great shape but does have 3 patches to it as seen in pics. The tonneau cover is a great way to go--easy to roll up and put stuff in the back, yet water proof and protective.
The truck has not been jerked around and is very original with the only add on being the 70's fog lights and a chevy aftermarket cassette player in working order.
The title is free and clear in my name and I will pick you up at the Orlando airport if you want to fly in and drive it home. I prefer sending you a PayPal invoice to your email address or I can take a credit card in person as I run a small busines,--- so you can pay for it with your credit card or we can go to a local bank to complete the transaction--ie: if you bring cash--we will verify at the bank-so cash or credit card or combination of both.  Pictures taken in January 2013.
I will do a Buy It Now if the offer makes sense.  I love driving my truck--simple and really cool! They do not depreciate--so treat yourself--you deserve it. I will listen to reasonable offers.

Call if you need further information Terry at 407-644-9327 between 9am and 7pm EST. I am not a dealer, this is my own personal truck at my house here in Winter Park, Florida  32789

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.

Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
