I am offering my custom 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup. This truck is custom from the ground up. I kept the original body and paint to maintain the original patina and oldschool look. The interior is original and is in great condition...the only thing not original are the gauges for the airbags but they look classic and fit right in. The truck runs great. The frame has been boxed and from the cab back is custom. Please feel free to ask any questions. Below is a build list from the builder.

The motor is
350 cu inch Chevy small block bored .30 (thirty over) so it is a 355 cubic inch motor now
it has 11:1 compression (eleven to one)
it has Dart Iron Eagle Heads with big valves
it has Rhodes lifters with a big 303 comp cam and 1.6 ratio billet aluminum roller rockers
it has a stock crank turned .30 (thirty over) and has chevy pink rods with Keith Black pistons
it has a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with a Holley 750 CFM Street Avenger Carb with Electric choke
it has a 95 Chevy serpentine pulley system with a Edelbrock reverse rotation water pump
it has Joe Gibbs "Driven" motor oil in it with a re-cored radiator and a Zirgo electric fan

The trans is a TH350 (turbo 350) transmission with a 1900 stall converter in it built by ATAT with a Lokar shifter

The suspension is 1989 C4 Corvette 4 wheel independent suspension with 4 wheel disc brakes and custom stainless braided lines
the brake pads are stickier than stock

The truck has Air Ride "Big Red" valves in it with manual switches custom built by Pipeworx.  It also has Shockwaves on the truck front and rear with 3/8ths inch air lines with a Via Air 380 compressor and a pressure cut off switch.

The photos are from the original build and right after. Please note that the truck has typical wear from use and surface rust from the elements.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.

Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction

Sun, 17 Feb 2013

It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
