This Chevy C-10 Short Wheel Base has been frame on restored, beautiful truck. Paint shows well, nice glossy finish with a few imperfections. There Are some small blisters on either front lower fenders where paint is bubbling also. This truck was completed around 7 years ago and not driven much. The truck has all new chrome bumpers, tail lights, grille, windshields, gaskets, basically this truck has all new everything. Wood bed has been professionally restored and has a nice clear coat finish. I told the motor is a 350 Corvette motor, nice sounding lope, but this truck is not a hot rod. rebuilt with only 1k miles. The transmission is a 400 turbo, not sure if transmission is rebuilt or not. Interior is nicely restored to what i think is correct beige paint. the steering column has tilt wheel, the seat has two small cuts. Everything works on gauge cluster except the gasoline gauge, not sure if it needs fuel sending unit. Radio appears to be new but not wired for operation. This truck is very solid, and a eye catcher. Rocker panels excellent, floor boards excellent, 12 bolt rear end, power drum brakes. New mild sounding exhaust, power steering. New chrome mirrors, headlights, everything. This truck runs and drives like a brand new truck. Real head turner, gorgeous truck, no disappointments. This truck has had a lot of time and money spent on it. Drive it home. I encourage anyone to come look and drive this truck you will love it. Please text or call Dalton at (205) 337-4457 before bidding if you have any questions. Sold with current antique registration and bill of sale. Alabama didn't title cars till 1975.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
