1965 Bagged, Shortbed, Big Window on 2040-cars
Shepherdsville, Kentucky, United States
1965 Bagged, Shortbed, Big Window This truck has been my daily driver for over 2 years. The body is very solid with no rust thru. Installed patch panel drivers lower fender. Rebuilt front end at same time air ride installed. Install was done by professional shop. Nice 4 link setup. Truck has no rattles very solid driver.
Alot of money spent on truck but the 283 in it is tired. It starts and runs. No smoke but has a tick in it. Also if you step into hard it will pop thru carb, guessing cam worn bad. Trans 350 turbo shift good. I bought a crewcab truck so selling this one. Great truck with tired engine. It hasn't gotten any worse over the last few months so you can drive as is while getting motor ready. Interior is nice. Wipers, gauges, lights, turn signals work. Nice radio . Tires are very good on steel wheels. I have priced truck low due to engine condition. Exhaust new. Disc brakes. Put a new rearend with a 3.08 gear so drives fine at 70mph on hwy. 502-558-3939 Tom I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
2014 Chevrolet Impala [w/video]
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video
Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.
