For sale with no reserve !! 1978 K5 Blazer - converted to a pickup truck. converted in 2008. Purpose built plow truck. We added in a section of cab from another truck to enclose the cab area - welded and sealed and body work.. Bedlined the complete interior and bed area. Floors of cab and bed area were reinforced and repaired. Seats are out of a Bronco. Underside of truck was also sprayed with a protective coating. engine has roughly 90,000 miles on it. trans and transfer case rebuilt with less than 500 miles on them. Truck runs and drives - engine is getting tired. 12/11 - replaced windshield 1/12 - both front shocks replaced 9/12 - both driveshaft rebuilt 1/13 - replaced front warn locking hubs 3/13 - master cylinder, both front calipers, pads, and rotors replaced. rear brake drums turned with new shoes & hardware. 3/13 - transmission and transfer case both rebuilt - less than 500 miles put on truck since then. 8/13 - driver and passenger window seals replaced. Needs repairing --- gas gauge does not work. No front bumper. Body work needs to redone and repainted front fender and by the chrome chevy stickers( I have the paint codes ). windshield wiper is hooked to a switch. Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
