History: This is a one owner, original mileage, and original paint truck. This truck has 95,000 original miles. It has never been in an accident, rusted etc. This truck has been very well maintained and cared for as you can see by its condition. It does come with a salvage title as I was told the owner wanted to avoid the DMV back fees. There are no signs of any accidents as it still has its factory paint on it.

Exterior: This is a great looking truck. There is no rust or corrosion at all. All of the windows and doors open and close properly. The truck does have a small crack in its original windshield.

Interior: The interior of this truck is in very good condition. Everything works inside including the radio both AM and FM stations. The seats are in very nice shape as are the original carpets.

Engine/Transmission: This car has a very powerful original 400CI V8. It starts right up and makes great power. It has factory dual exhaust which sounds excellent. This truck is very sound mechanically and I would not hesitate to drive it on a long trip. The transmission shifts through all gears very smoothly.

Wheels/Suspension: This truck has a newer set of tires in very nice shape. The suspension on this truck is in very good shape and the ride is very pleasant.

Overall: These very original, well maintained trucks do not come along very often. This would be a great chance to get into a very nice original example. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.

Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
