Up for sale in my 1972 Blazer. Unfortunately it has a salvage title and we don't want to put any more money into it because of this fact. We are looking to unload it for far less than what we have put into it. My loss, and lack of doing proper research prior to buying a Salvaged vehicle is your gain
I bought this truck a year before my son was going to be street legal to drive with every intention to let him bang it up and "learn" to drive the 7 miles to and from his high school. We put a bit of money into it, but we were careful not to put too much because of the Salvage Title. Turns out, we were lied to and misled. We were told this truck had been stolen, and the insurance company paid out a claim, thus giving it a Salvage Title when it was recovered. We were told we'd be able to get this salvage title removed because it hadn't been in an accident, or victim of a flood or fire. All this was untrue. You cannot get a Salvage title removed. Due to the DMV rules here where we live and insurance requirements my son cannot drive this car legally and be covered adequately. This truck is basically a piece of front yard art. As much as I need to sell this truck, and buy him a non-Salvage vehicle, I also value my 100% rating on ebay. SO, my disclaimer is DONT BUY MY SALVAGE TRUCK UNLESS YOU INTEND TO TRAILER IT TO THE SAND DUNES OR MUD PITS AND INTEND TO USE THIS AS A TOY. If I get an offer for 1/2 of what I have into this truck...it's yours!! 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
