 Chopped 1952 Chevy

Selling my 1952 Chevy, It has been nosed, decked, frenched headlights, chopped 5 1/2 " and widened the roof 2". Original windshield cut and installed, Original back window laid down for that fastback look. Driveline is out of a 72 Chevy, 350 that has been rebuilt by the previous owner, with a mild cam, redone double hump heads, aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. Th350, with B&M shifter, shifts great. 10 Bolt Chevy rear end with 411 gears and 3" lowering blocks. Aluminum radiator, Rack-n-pinion steering with power disc brakes, Tilt steering column,PS. WWW bias ply tires. interior is in pretty nice shape, Power driver seat. The frame is solid, the floors are solid with some patches in them. There are a couple body mounts that the previous owner had fixed. The body is in good shape, its straight and does have some glass it. Back side windows do not roll down and are plexi-glass. The vent windows and door windows all work good, with new channel/felt on door windows. Door windows roll up and down as they should. Does need door and trunk weather stripping. Painted flat black, and then rubbed out to give it that old nostalgia look. The car is not a show car, its a cruise night/driver. The car could be worth a lot more if you take it to the next level. Everything works except the wipers. The car runs, drives and stops great. This car gets attention every where we go in it! You don't get the chance to buy a chopped led sled much, so don't miss this one.  I am also interested in trading for 1959-1961 Mopar or a Chevy Impala 1959,1960,1967,1968,1970 or 1971 2 drs only

I tried to be as honest as I can about the car. There is no warranties or guaranties. Car is sold in as is condition. Please if you have any questions ask them before the auction ends. Please email, call or text, only if you are interested-7169074sixsix0. Thank you!

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.

2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
