Today I am listing my 1954 chevrolet bel air 4 dr. This is a very original, documented car that goes The car was always garaged until the old man died and the car went to his son. The son had the car and wasnt interested i it anymore and finally decided to sale. He drove the car back in the 70s to college. The spare tire well has some rust but the rest of the car is SOLID. Going through many of the receipts I found one that pertains to the engine getting rebuilt at 57,ooo miles or so.back to 1957. The car is very solid and runs well. I am listing this car only to finish my custom 41 coupe. I have owned (7) 54 chevys over the years and this is one of the nicest. The floors, rockers, rear wheel wells , ect are very solid. The car was well taken car of and is an original California car. The car has California 1 piece bumpers and the car get attention where ever it goes. It took me years to get this car, but now I want to finish my dream car..Please no emails about trades.

Okay, I know the description isnt worded very well.. Guess next time not to list an item after a bbq with friends and drinks...However this 54 chevy bel air is in great shape.. I cant believe I decided to sell it.. The engine runs good and the trans shifts well. The body has no rott and is in good shape. The glass is all in great shape andso is all the stainless except the passenger front fender..The fender trim has dings along with the passenger door trim. Could be straightened or replaced. The bumpers are straight and solid 1 piece california bumpers original to the car..Everything you see is how I picked it up, except the changes I made to get it running better.. I have been driving it every day.. The spare tire well has rust but the rest of the car is solid..I did hand buff the car the first week I had it to bring back some shine..Looks good.. The original owners manuel was in the glove box along with some other papers. Has original glove box and glove box light works. Grill is straight except the passenger side end piece where the old lady got into the garage door trim. Everything works except the radio..Blinkers, wipers, sig lighter, ect all work. The car was taken care of well. The trunk has the original card boards in it still but I removed the rubber mat. The car still has the screen in front of the radiator.. Any questions please ask and I will answer or send any extra pics as needed.. Thanks for looking and sorry about the original description not making since.. Hope this helps..All docs and paper work will come with the sale. The hubcaps are the original ones to the car..

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
