Hello! This listing is for a 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door sedan that we bought in New Mexico.
The car runs and drives smoothly. Carb need work as it is leaking.
We cleaned out the fuel tank and put a new fuel pump on it. It had been sitting for
about 8 years.
There is a lot of stainless trim in the car that has already been redone as well as some pot metal
like the hood emblem. It is awesome!!
Glass is all intact. Delaminating is occurring in the wing windows.
There is some repair work that has been done on the lower driver's fender that is cracking.
There are some rust and bubbling as shown in the pictures...
Lower quarters by the wheel wells and below the tail lights where the panel meets
the bumper filler panel. Floors are solid. Trunk has a small hole that I saw when
replacing the gas tank.
The grill is missing. The car had a sun visor installed that is also missing...holes are
still there.
Older paint job has some chips and scratches. Doors, trunk lid and hood are all good.
Turn signals, tail lights, head lights and interior courtesy light all work and gauges appear
to all be working... not sure about the gas gauge though.
We currently have a few older cars to work on and can't get to all of them.
Thanks for viewing and email with any questions!

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
