I am selling my, practically new, Chevy Avalanche. This vehicle has worked very well for my all around needs...I am only selling due to receiving a company vehicle and no longer need it. The cab is very spacious and allows for a comfortable travel while the covered bed acts as a huge trunk for luggage...was very important when traveling with my wife. Simply removing the 3 watertight, quick detach panels and you have a conventional pick-up, allowing you to accomplish, around the house duties. I was able to leave my golf clubs in the bed and not have to worry about weather or theft, as the tailgate lock is synchronized with the doors and locks with the keychain remote.

The Avalanche is fitted with a Louisiana Edition package...which is the LS upgraded with Leather seats, Exterior Chrome package, 22" Chevy Rims (Which I believe suit the vehicle very well due to the huge fender wells), and Navigation.

This vehicle has no external or interior damage. I am the only owner and the cab has always been smoke free.

I will accept certified funds or money order. A personal check will be accepted but the vehicle will not be released until the check clears. Buyer pays for shipping if needed.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
