2005 Chevrolet Avalanche Lt 4x4 Loaded Custom on 2040-cars
Flushing, Michigan, United States
This is a beautiful 2005 Avalanche LT 4X4 with an American Luxury Coach Conversion Package that really sets it off. I am the 2nd owner. Normal wear and tear includes a few very minor stone chips and scratches but it is in great shape and is often mistaken for a much newer escalade. The custom white pearl paint and extra chrome is stunning. All leather heated seats, moon roof and custom dash gauges with wood accents throughout are extra classy. Climate Control and premium sound system. It has a heavy duty towing package with an upgraded transmission, electric trailer brake hookup etc. The battery is about 2 years old. and tires are good. I AM A NON-SMOKER Some of the equipment and features with the American Luxury Coach Package are: DAEK TINT WINDOWS - CUSTOM BILLET GRILLE - 20" CHROME WHEELS & TIRES - CUSTOM FIT VENT SHADES - CUSTOM PAINTED WHEEL FLARES - CUSTOM PAINTED UPPER & LOWER BUMPER COVERS - CUSTOM PAINTED UPPER BODY CLADDING - CUSTOM PAINTED UPPER & LOWER TAIL GATE MOULDINGS - CUSTOM PAINTED REAR WINDOW CLOSURES - CUSTOM PAINTED LOCKING STORAGE DOORS LEFT & RIGHT - HIGH GLOSS WOOD INTERIOR PACKAGE - CHROME MIRRORS AND DOOR HANDLES CHROME FACE GAUGES AND WHITE FACE DASH It runs great and is a very nice vehicle. First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum.
