2004 Cadillac XLR 2 Door Convertible

This vehicle is owned by my father in law who is no longer able to drive. The vehicle has always been properly maintained by a Cadillac Dealer.  Now it's time for its sale.  This wonderful car is in excellent condition and everything works. It has navigation and all the amenities and "bells and whistles" one could ask for in a car of this type. Cadillac has always been garage kept and was my father in law's "baby".  The car was top of the line in its day, originally retail priced at around $75,000.00.

The only known issue about the car (and it is no longer a problem, as it was serviced and fully repaired by GM) is that the car was included in a "manufacturer's buy back" in 2005 because of a leak in the top, due to a design or manufacturing issue.  GM repaired the car and resold it to Sam Swope Cadillac in Louisville, Ky., who sold it to my father in law.

We have a letter from Frank Moody, General Manager at Sam Swope stating that GM repaired the issue with the top and that the car has been professionally inspected and is in "excellent condition, mechanically and otherwise.

Check out the photos above, which include a picture of the letter from Frank Moody at Sam Swope and please watch the video below to see how effortlessly the convertible top raises and lowers and clean the interior is.  Tires are like new as well.

Don't miss out, this is a superb vehicle, as fun as you can get to drive, in beautiful like new condition.

If you have any questions about the car or for payment arrangements after the sale, please feel free to call me, Bud Fairman at (502) 649-0978.

Cadillac confirms CT8/CT9 flagship, ELR successor

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Cadillac has certainly been a hot topic as of late, what with Johan de Nysschen now running the joint, moving its headquarters to New York, and overhauling the company's naming structure (only to later publicly defend all of these drastic decisions). Now, looking ahead, de Nysschen is already revealing some details about what's in store for the future, including a raft of new products that include a large, long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class rival positioned above the recently announced CT6, along with a successor to the slow-selling ELR coupe.
In an interview with Reuters, de Nysschen says his company has "just signed off on" a new flagship tipped to be called CT8 or CT9. It will compete with the long-wheelbase versions of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series, and should come to market by the end of this decade.
Among other news, the South African executive said a followup to the ELR plug-in hybrid is in development, though it may not be a two-door coupe like the current car. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since the ELR has garnered nothing but slow sales and poor reviews since its launch.

Cadillac teases camo'd ELR ahead of Detroit debut

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

With the 2014 Cadillac ELR being introduced next week at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors has revealed another picture of its luxury range extended electric vehicle. Last month, we saw a dark, teaser photo showing some of the body detail for the electric coupe, but this recent photo shows the Cadillac in full camouflage testing in California back in September.
If this car looks familiar, it's because our spy shooters got a jump on GM by catching the car in action and providing pictures from all angles. There are still no official details for the ELR yet aside from the fact that it will share the Voltec system with the Chevrolet Volt, but we'll finally see the car unveiled in Detroit a week from today.

2015 Cadillac ATS-V gunning for the BMW M3

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

Spy photographers have spotted something interesting. Cadillac engineers have taken to public streets with the upcoming ATS-V and a playmate: the current BMW M3 Sedan. The prototype seen here wears a more aggressive front fascia, flared fenders and beefy brakes. Quad exhaust tips and what looks to be a small lip spoiler on the trunk deck sum up the most obvious visual changes over the standard ATS outside. Word has it the ATS-V will bow with the same twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 available in the nose of the XTS. In that application, the engine is good for a stout 410 horsepower, which should be more than enough to hustle the sedan around a track.
Other details are still murky, however. First and foremost: will GM offer the ATS-V with an honest manual transmission, like it does with its big brother, the CTS-V? Something tells us we won't have long to wait to find out - the machine will likely bow next year as a 2015 model. Until then, dig in on our newest bevy of spy photos.
