OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS, I HAVE REPLACED/INSTALLED NEW SPARK PLUGS, PLUG WIRES, BATTERY(EXPENSIVE), BRAKE LINES, BRAKES, ROTORS, AND FLUSHED THE RADIATOR, AND FILLED WITH NEW ANTIFREEZE. THERE IS A 2-3 INCH CRACK ON THE REAR BUMPER FROM BEING HIT BY THE SHOPPING CART CORRAL AT WORK ( DOESN'T AFFECT THE CAR OR HINDER PA INSPECTION ), AND THERE IS A SMALL RUST SPOT FORMING ON THE FRONT HOOD DRIVER SIDE. THE CAR USES A QUART OF OIL EVERY 1200 TO 1500 MILES. IT IS A USED CAR. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY, SOLD AS IS. AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT IS A SOLID DAILY DRIVER. IT IS NOT A SHOW CAR BY ANY STRETCH, BUT DOES SHINE UP NICE AFTER A TRIP THROUGH THE CAR WASH AND A LITTLE POLISH ON THE CHROME WHEELS. Cadillac considering more electric cars, Elmiraj business case gaining popularity
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Cadillac's electrification isn't likely to stop at the $76,000 ELR coupe, according a report from TheDetroitBureau.com. Speaking to Cadillac's global sales boss, Bob Ferguson, a successful ELR will likely lead to a larger, even more upscale offering than the Volt-based two-door. "I could certainly see a larger vehicle, something even more luxurious," Ferguson said of a potential second, battery-powered Caddy.
That car would likely boast a more potent version of the Voltec powertrain that motivates the Volt and ELR. This next-generation system is still sometime off, though, and won't likely arrive until the second-generation Volt hits the market.
Besides hinting at future plug-in hybrids, Ferguson spoke to TDB about the improving business case for the Elmiraj Concept, shown at the Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey in August. "I'm very excited about the reception for the Elmiraj," Ferguson said. "I'd like to see it in showrooms as soon as possible," he added, before saying that a business case for the production version of the big coupe still needed to be presented to the brass. "It was made to be operationalized," Ferguson added, which is just what we want to hear when it comes to big, flashy concept cars.

Sun, 31 Mar 2013In case you haven't got enough of the 2014 Cadillac CTS that just debuted at the New York Auto Show, Cadillac has let us have some rolling footage of the car around its test track along with a few words from VP of marketing Don Butler and executive director of design Mark Adams.
You won't learn much more about its 420-horsepower, twin-turbo V6 but you can hear how it growls in the rain, and you can get a better idea of how you'll look in the driver's seat giving it a workout. That's got to be worth something, right? You'll find both videos just below.

Wed, 12 Dec 20122012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show.
