You are bidding on 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood with the D'Elegance Package FREE AND CLEAR TITLE.  ALL ORIGINAL TITLE DOCUMENTS IN SELLER'S POSSESSION.  The odometer reading is 55,372 and 80%-90% of the mileage is freeway based.  This vehicle has always been a non-smoking vehicle and stored in a non-smoking garage.

PLEASE SEE THE VEHICLE REPORT FOR HISTORY/FACT VERIFICATION AND HIGH RATING FOR THIS VEHICLE.

It is a beautiful deep burgandy/merlot color and the paint is in excellent condition for the age of the vehicle.  This vehicle can easily and comfortably seat 5-6 adults (depending on their size) with plenty of leg space.

The vehicle was purchased about 25 years ago by the current owner from the premier Cadillac dealership Marvin K. Brown which is still in operation.  Seller was told by the dealership that the owner of the vehicle was an elderly woman and the car had been garage stored, which was evident by the condition of vehicle at the time of purchase. Since the vehicle was purchased by the present owner, it has also been garage stored.

The vehicle is being sold because the present owner can no longer comfortably operate it and no longer needs a large vehicle.

It is a rear-wheel drive vehicle. The exact odometer reading is 55,372. No airbags and no anti-locking brakes. It has a radio cassette player.  The interior is leather - no rips, tears or stains. The door panels are genuine leather and fully padded.  The floorboards are covered with deep pile burgundy carpeting. It has multi-level air conditioning and cruise control, power steering and power locks, automatic antenna, power seats and power windows.   The trunk opens and closes automatically - motor driven.

The vehicle is in excellent running condition. It has recently passed the California smog certification and has a 3-month old battery.  A new muffler may be needed. Buyer may choose to have the vehicle tuned up to any of their specific preferences - at their expense.

This is a CASH SALE. A $500 deposit will be required within 24 hours through Pay Pal. The transaction must be completed and the vehicle picked up by Buyer within seven (7) days from the date of sale. The remainder of the funds to be given to Seller at the time the vehicle is delivered to Buyer.

DELIVERY OF VEHICLE:  Seller will give Buyer a signed and notarized Bill of Sale, original title documents, signed transfer documents and keys to the vehicle once the vehicle has been fully paid for. Buyer is responsible for their own transfer fees and taxes.  Seller will pay any transfer fees or taxes assigned to them by the State of California only.

If Buyer has a third party taking delivery of the vehicle, or having the vehicle shipped, Seller requires an original, signed and notarized Power of Attorney stating the name of the person or business representing the Buyer, their legal identification, a copy of the Buyer's Driver's License.  The Power of Attorney must state that the person or business receiving the vehicle has the authorization to pay for the vehicle, take possession of the vehicle and keys, prepare the vehicle for shipping and sign all transfer or sale documents required by the State of California.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, damage that may occur to the vehicle during loading, securing or transfer. Seller will make a Notary Public available. The vehicle must be paid for in full before it is delivered to Buyer or Buyer's representative.

NOTE: IMMEDIATELY UPON DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE TO BUYER, SELLER WILL CANCEL THEIR AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE COVERAGE ON THE CADILLAC.  BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INSURANCE ONCE THE KEYS ARE HANDED TO THEM.

Buyer has 24 hours from the date of sale to deposit the initial $500.00 through PayPal.  If Buyer fails to deposit the funds within 24 hours and does not contact Buyer, the sale will be cancelled and reported to Ebay. Once Buyer has paid the initial $500, they are to contact Seller to inform them of the date they want to take delivery.  Seller will make the vehicle available within a 20 mile radius at a location where there is a Notary Public available. If Buyer is not within a 20 mile radius, alternate arrangements can be made.

In the event Buyer makes the initial $500 deposit timely but fails to complete the transaction within the seven (7) days from the date of sale and fails to contact Buyer with reasonable alternate arrangements, the deposit will become non-refundable and reported to Ebay

Cadillac moving to NY as separate business unit

Tue, 23 Sep 2014

Cadillac is under new leadership, and the automaker is committed to turning itself (back) into a global luxury powerhouse. It's got a strong product offensive (of products currently in showrooms, and much more on the way), and now it will have a new location to call home.
Following earlier speculation, GM has confirmed that it is moving Cadillac's base of operations from Detroit to New York. Lest you think it might rent offices in the Chrysler Building (which is, after all, one of the tallest in the city), the new Cadillac global headquarters will be located in the Soho area with a "multipurpose brand and event space in conjunction with modern loft offices." The company is still evaluating which staff will move along with it to Manhattan, and which will remain in Michigan where technical operations will still be based.
The move from Detroit to New York is the first major change being instituted by new Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen, who previously undertook a similar shift in moving Infiniti away from Nissan headquarters to its own facility in Hong Kong. Ford had attempted a similar move in relocating its luxury portfolio under the Premier Automotive Group (which then included Lincoln, Mercury, Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Volvo) from Dearborn to Irvine, CA, but ended up moving Lincoln (the last one still under the Ford umbrella) back to Michigan. Other luxury automakers like Audi (Volkswagen) and Maserati (Fiat) are headquartered away from their parent companies as well, but have a longer history of independent operation.

Cadillac dealers get $5,000 incentive for ELR test drives

Tue, 13 May 2014

The 530 Cadillac dealers - out of 940 total dealers - that signed on to sell the brand's ELR for $75,000 or lease it for $699 per month have managed to move 247 of them in the last five months. That's a little less than two cars for each dealer more than two dealers for each car if you need help with the math. With inventories of the luxury plug-in hybrid building up - Automotive News reports a 725-day supply - General Motors has created the Demonstrator Allowance Program to billow the sails on that slow moving ship, giving dealers $5,000 to promote ELR test drives.
A dealer with one ELR in its test fleet that racks up 750 test driven miles between May 1 and June 2 earns the fifty Benjamins, a dealer with two ELRs in the test fleet will get one hundred Benjamins. That will be added to summer incentives for dealers that pay $2,000 for units sold in July and $1,000 for units sold in August, while on the customer side, Cadillac has put "customer discount certificates" worth $3,000 on the hood for buyers and lessees.
Cadillac suggests this is about raising awareness of the ELR, but the question is how much dealers will be able to do for a car that observers - and buyers, apparently - still consider highly overpriced.

2015 Cadillac Escalade configurator lets you bling it your way

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

It's Friday, so there must be a new configurator to play with. While last week we showed you how to build your own McLaren 650S, today's ride is a bit more common. It's the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, a vehicle that you've been able to colorize since the end of last year, and which is sure to be an increasingly common sight on US roads in the coming months.
For those that have played with the build-your-Caddy tool, there's not much new here, aside from the vehicle being configured. The Escalade is available in three trims and two wheelbases, with prices spanning from the SWB, two-wheel-drive Standard, which starts at $72,690, on to the all-wheel-drive, long-wheelbase ESV Premium, which kicks off at $86,790. The options list, meanwhile, isn't hugely extensive. A rear-seat entertainment system and power-retractable side-steps (only available on the Premium trim) are the two notable options, while customers will have their choice of six exterior paints and two to three interior schemes, depending on the trim level.
Hop on over to Cadillac's consumer page and take a look.
