THIS A 1985 CADILLAC 2DOOR FLEETWOOD IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I OWN 9 OTHER CADILLACS AND 3 OF THEM ARE 2DOOR FLEETWOODS. SO I KNOW WHAT THE CAR IS WORTH. THIS IS THE CAR THAT BELONGED TO THE PREACHER DOWN THE ROAD AND WE HAVE THE TITLE AND PAPER WORK TO PROVE IT. THE CAR IS READY AND HAS BEEN SERVICED AT WRIGHT MOTORS HERE IN EVANSVILLE WHERE IT WAS SOLD NEW. I PERSONALLY DO NOT HAVE ANY ROOM FOR THIS CAR AND WOULD HATE TO SEE IT SET OUTSIDE. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLED GARAGE.I REPLACED THE FACTORY RADIO WITH A CD PLAYER, BUT I HAVE THE FACTORY RADIO THAT WILL BE IN THE TRUNK FOR THE NEW OWNER. I ALSO HAD THE REAR BUMPER EXTENSIONS REPLACED AND PAINTED. WE USED NEW REAL GM (NOS) RUBBER EXTESIONS AND NOT AFTER MARKET ONES. THE CENTER REAR BUMPER AROUND THE FUEL INLET WAS REPLACED WITH THE ABS PLASTIC REPLACEMENT. PICTURES WERE TAKEN TODAY 3/18/2013.. 2014 Cadillac ELR wears a suave suit with Volt underpants
Tue, 15 Jan 2013The Cadillac design and engineering teams were smiling like a bunch of proud papas here in Detroit this morning, as the Wreath and Crest crew pulled the curtain back on their 2014 ELR. The house was packed for the ELR's coming out party, and reaction was enthusiastic amongst the murmuring media, as far as we could gather, while the flashes were firing.
In fact, we think that the sleek styling and aggressive proportions of the Voltec-powered ELR looked even better in the metal than they did in the first official images we saw earlier. Further, the leather-lined interior seems custom made for serious driving, even if the ELR is slightly less than rocket-ship quick.
The new Cadillac makes good use of the basic running gear from the Chevrolet Volt, including the 1.4-liter range-extending gas engine, a 15.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and an electric drive motor that offers 295 pound-feet of torque, and a total system output of 207 horsepower. All-electric range is down by just one mile versus its Chevrolet forebearer, for a total of 35, and Cadillac speculates that the total range with the gasoline generator figured in will top 300 miles.
Cadillac Elmiraj has production potential
Tue, 20 Aug 2013There are many reasons to love the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept, but not the least of which is how production-ready this big coupe appears to be. Take out the overly fancy interior and a few conceptual elements of the exterior, and this looks like a coupe that could be in dealers now as the successor to the Eldorado.
On top of that, Automotive News is quoting Bob Ferguson, Cadillac senior vice president, as saying that a production version of this car is "very doable." AN adds that if the Monterey showstopper gets the green-light, this car would compete against the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and would based on Cadillac's upcoming rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan due out in 2015. The range-topping coupe would debut sometime after the sedan model. Cross your fingers.
Cadillac snags de Nysschen from Infiniti, names him new president
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Johan de Nysschen, the (now former) president of Infiniti, has officially jumped ship. The 54-year-old, who also spent time as the chief executive for Audi USA, has taken the position of president at Cadillac, following a two-year stint at the Nissan-owned luxury brand. In his new role, the 54-year-old will be responsible "for all aspects of Cadillac globally," according to a statement from General Motors.
"Johan brings to our company vast experience in the development and proper execution of luxury automotive brands," said GM President Dan Ammann, de Nysschen's new boss. "With over 20 years in this exact space, especially in the development of the Audi brand, his track record proves he is the perfect executive to lead Cadillac for the long term."
"I have for some time now been impressed by how the new General Motors has been transformed into a formidable force in the industry," de Nysschen said in a statement. "The combination of strong corporate leadership and exceptional engineering resources presents the perfect combination to restore Cadillac to its place among global premium brands."
