1956 Cadillac Fleetwood. Recently overhauled. 365 Motor, re-built carb, new brake pads, new wheel cylinders, all new brake lines, all new fuel lines, new fuel tank, newer Cocker tires, new duel exhaust, both seat in fair condition with no tears. Lowered four inch blocks in rear. To coils cut off front. New shocks front and rear. Sits nice and level. Needs: Side glass, windshield is cracked, minor rust repair on driver-side front and rear floor pans, small rust holes in trunk, all interior panels need to be installed (I have them), needs some work. Chrome has been recently done, but only single-dipped, and its starting to fail. When I bought this car, the man who was restoring it passed away half-way through. It looked to be like a fresh paint job, maybe five years ago. Tons of non-labeled parts, not sure what's missing. Seems to be at least 90% complete. The way the car stands now, it is the perfect time to go through and re-paint. I have been driving this car to work everyday for the past four months, it runs great. The break booster just went out, so I installed a late model Chevy master. It needs the original re-installed, the costs for that is $400. Watch Brad Pitt's Chinese Cadillac XTS commercial
Thu, 14 Mar 2013Once upon a time, in a land not so far from this one, Brad Pitt was the very face anti-consumerism. You see, when he slipped into the role of the elitist-loathing, food-abusing, violence-embracing Tyler Durden from Fight Club, his visage was inextricably married to images of leveling credit card corporations with nothing more than a little human fat and some determination. Of course, that was before Pitt settled into old age with a passel of children at his feet. Now, it seems, he'll shill for something as long as it doesn't damage his reputation in America.
Need proof? Look no further than this Chinese ad for the Cadillac XTS. In it, Pitt contentedly wafts the big front-wheel drive barge around San Francisco against a mildly euphoric soundtrack. You can check out the scene for yourself below, just make sure you have your last meal squarely situated in your stomach before pressing play. We have to wonder if Pitt wakes up in the middle of the night with Chuck Palahniuk's oddly omniscient words echoing in his ears: "Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you."

Consumer Reports loves the 2014 Cadillac CTS
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Our first drive of the 2014 Cadillac CTS was just published today... we really liked the Vsport version. And Consumer Reports has some even stronger words of praise for the all-new luxury sedan. We already knew that Cadillac had stepped up its game with the third-gen CTS, but CR bluntly states that the sedan drives better than its German luxury counterparts.
While CR shows plenty of love for the new CTS, the outlet still takes issue with some of the in-car technology including the CUE infotainment system - no surprise there. The testers' offer all manner of positive comments where the impressive handling capabilities of the sedan are concerned, with lots of drifting around CR's private test facility in evidence to bear them out.
