2011 Cadillac Escalade All Wheel Drive Low Miles on 2040-cars
Sycamore, Illinois, United States
It will be hard to find a used Escalade in as good of condition as this one is. We purchased it new and in the last 4 years we have only driven it 23,760. This is my wife's can and she is on call 24/7 with the local volunteer fire department as a dispatcher. We live in Vermont on a hill and we need the dependability of the all wheel drive. She has never been left stranded! This car has loads and loads of equipment: Navigation; Bose Sound System; Heated and cooled Leather seats; Bucket in the front with console; 1/3 2/3 seat in the back as well as 3rd row seating; DVD Entertainment system; 4 NEW 22in. Chrome Alloy Rims; All season tires were new last year only about 5,000 miles on them; Running boards; Roof rack; Sun/moon roof; Tinted glass; and the list goes on and on...the sticker when new was over $75,000! The car is at the dealer as we just picked up our new 2015 and they are doing the new rims and a new Vermont Inspection as we just had it serviced. This is a non-smoking and no dog car. There is some warranty left, but the papers are in the car so I do not know what it is, seems like another year but don't hold me to it. On Sep-14-14 at 19:12:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: Car is located in Jericho, Vermont 05465 not in Illinois! |

Cadillac planning its own engines, halo cars
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Cadillac is in the midst of some big changes. It's got a new chief executive. It's taking some distance from parent company General Motors and moving to a new headquarters in New York. And it's instituting a new naming scheme that will allow not only for a more clear progression in its lineup, but also for more models. But that's not the end of the story. Not by a long shot.
Speaking with Automobile magazine, Cadillac's new president Johan de Nysschen revealed his intention to develop several new models and powertrains. For starters, he does not want Cadillac to continue borrowing engines from the GM parts bin, but intends to develop a new range of engines specifically for the luxury automaker. The program will likely start with smaller-capacity engines but eventually lead to new V8s as well, taking the place of the long-serving Northstar engine that finally ended its lifespan a few years ago after some two decades of production. Along with other technologies, de Nysschen envisions possibly sharing these powertrains with other GM divisions, but developing them first and foremost for Cadillac.
The bigger question, however, is where those engines would go, and de Nysschen had some thoughts to share on that front as well. For starters, the former Infiniti and Audi exec sees room for an even bigger sedan above the upcoming new CT6 that will cap the current range. Maybe even two of them. But that's not all. Johan wants to see Cadillac get (back) into the sports car game with a new halo model or two - something it hasn't really done since the Corvette-based XLR roadster. A pair of new crossovers are also said to be in the works, flanking the SRX on both sides with smaller and larger models.
GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Cadillac LTS flagship to bow at NY Auto Show
Wed, 06 Aug 2014There is widespread agreement across the industry that Cadillac needs a proper, rear-drive flagship sedan that completes legitimately with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series.
Fortunately, the same view is held within the company, and just such a car - possibly dubbed LTS - is under development. According to a high-level source at Cadillac, the new four-door, which is said to incorporate design cues from the marque's celebrated Elmiraj coupe concept, will debut at the New York Auto Show next April.
If the car needs a cheerleader, surely incoming president Johan de Nysschen is just such a person. De Nysschen doesn't arrive at Cadillac until late in the month, but certainly he will want a proper flagship to do battle with his old foes at Mercedes-Benz and BMW and old friends at Audi and Infiniti.
