1975 Cadillac Convertible Eldorado 1976 on 2040-cars
Lawrenceburg, Indiana, United States
1975 Cadillac CONVERTIBLE This 75 Eldorado came out of Florida as to settle an estate. Lady owned-Lady driven. We now have a clear Indiana title. All the titles and all documentation shows car to be an honest 57,000 mile vehicle. Paint still looks very sharp. The short rear fender panels (that are plastic) could stand to be repainted. We have a new center panel that fits around gas tank filler (check pics). Body is nice, bottom of car is good and very solid. All the glass is very nice, windows buzz up and down with no problems. As pictures show interior is awesome. Driver side arm rest will need repaired in time. Top goes up and down and works smoothly. Convertible top is usable with maybe only a few years left before replacing. My original plan was to set this car back and keep it. I could not resist driving this one several times to local golf course. It rides the best and does out-handle my 56 Cadillac by far. Tires are good, hub caps correct. I have a friend here in town who is in the car shipping business. If you decide to do the BUY IT NOW price he will set this car in your driveway with no expense to you. We will pay for and schedule all shipping. Continental U.S. only or you pay shipping. Call me with ANY and ALL questions 812-537-0585 Ask for GARY.

Cadillac HQ has a New York address
Sun, 16 Nov 2014The new home of Cadillac will be in the 330 Hudson building in New York City's Hudson Square, putting the luxury marque smack dab in the middle of three of the city's hippest areas, SoHo, Greenwich Village and Tribeca.
The announcement is yet another milestone in the company's controversial decision to relocate administrative and marketing operations away from Detroit and into the Big Apple.
"The addition of a headquarters office in New York is a key step in Cadillac's ongoing global expansion," Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen said, according to The Detroit Free Press. "There is no better atmosphere in which to better immerse ourselves into luxury consumer and brand expertise."
GM extending warranties on Cadillac CTS-V and Chevy Camaro ZL1 for supercharger issue
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Okay General Motors, we've sat by and watched you recall the compact cars, crossovers and pickup trucks, and aside from reporting on it, we've been fairly quiet. This, though, this will not do. We can almost tolerate the recalls on the bread-and-butter cars, but leave the performance vehicles alone.
According to a report from The Car Connection, GM has discovered a problem with the superchargers of the 6.2-liter V8s found in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Cadillac CTS-V. Apparently, the issue rests around the internal bearing shaft grease, which can become contaminated (we aren't sure with what). If left unchecked, it'll first lead to a rattle at idle, which goes away under slight throttle. The real warning stage is when a high-pitched squeal develops, signaling that the bearing shaft has failed. Naturally, severe engine damage is the next step (although it's possible that the engine will also just refuse to turnover, although neither case is desirable).
According to TCC, GM will replace the superchargers on vehicles that have exhibited symptoms of bearing shaft failure free of charge. It will also, allegedly, be extending the warranty on all supercharged ZL1s and CTS-Vs to 10 years or 120,000 miles (whichever comes first), from the date of purchase. Officially, only 2009 to 2013 CTS-Vs and 2012 to 2013 ZL1s are suffering from this issue.
40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
