Lewiston, Idaho, United States
Up for auction is a one owner from new 1976 Cadillac Coupe De Ville, with only 36,730 original miles. This Cadillac has been garage kept all its life, and now that dad is no longer with us, the family has decided to sale his pride, and joy. The car is taking up space in the garage, no one is driving it, so it must go. The car was purchased new in July of 1976 through Lewiston's Valley Car Sales. Total cost was $11,017.00. The cars came equipped with these options: Accent stripes (blue) $42.00 Mist Wipers $28.00 Cruise Control $104.00 Rear Window Defogger $77.00 Door Edge Guards $7.00 Duel 60-40 Seats (power 6 way Driver) $123.00 Full floor Mats $38.00 Entrance lights $52.00 Leather Upholstry (blue) $220.00 Illuminated Vanity Mirror Pass $44.00 AM/FM 8 Track tape Deck $239.00 Tilt/ Tel. The car runs beautiful, and drives like new, with it's low miles. All systems works as they should, and service has been performed regularly. The body is straight, paint is original, and nice, but the car dose have some garage rash. ( small nicks & chips) (Please look at pictures closely) The leather interior looks new, no rips or tars, and shows very little ware. Tires are good, and the car can be driven to your home. This Cadillac has been pampered all its life, and is a fine example of a very low mile Coupe DeVille. I'm listing this Cadillac for the family, and will take all questions to them. They have set a very low reserve. Buyer is responsible for shipping, and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end, and in anyway we can. For questions please call Bill (208)750-0000

Cadillac sales chief fired over policy violation
Sun, 21 Jul 2013Amidst a good year for Cadillac, which is experiencing higher sales gains than any other US brand this year, the US sales chief has been fired over a policy violation, Automotive News reports.
The sales chief, Chase Hawkins, "has left effective immediately," GM spokesman David Caldwell told Automotive News. Caldwell went on to say that Hawkins' replacement would be chosen soon.
Hawkins became the US sales chief in June 2012, and before that was the regional sales director for Cadillac in the Northeast US, overseeing 168 dealerships.
2015 Cadillac Escalade
Fri, 29 Aug 2014I have never liked traveling to Monterey, CA. The picturesque coastal city is about 300 miles from my home in Los Angeles, which means cramped and uncomfortable regional aircraft are part of the equation when the turnaround is only one night. Over the years, I have cursed the LA Basin's bumper-to-bumper traffic en route to the airport, argued with TSA personnel over carry-on baggage and waited countless hours for the fog to lift just for the anguish of being packed into a small regional jet for the flight. Of course, the process repeats on the trip home with equal misery.
Yet this time I am not suffering.
Cadillac has dropped its all-new 2015 Escalade in my driveway. Instead of battling city congestion, attempting to reason with misinformed government agents, snacking on a too-small bag of pretzels and physically rubbing shoulders with a dubious stranger for 90-plus minutes within the confines of a bumpy aircraft, I have chosen to forgo air travel and drive myself door-to-door in a fullsize luxury sport utility vehicle.
Cadillac's Butler announces surprise departure
Mon, 05 Aug 2013The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Cadillac's vice president of global strategic development, Don Butler, has resigned. Butler has held the position since April, after a term as vice president of US marketing for General Motor's luxury brand.
As the report explains, the timing here is pretty unfortunate for Cadillac. Butler is the third high-profile member of Cadillac's brass to depart in recent months, following the firing of US sales boss Chase Hawkins and the pending departure of Susan Docherty. Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell told the Detroit paper, "Bob [Ferguson]," global boss for Cadillac, "and other leaders asked him to stay on. Don's here in the office today - and told our team that his decision is purely on a personal level. After three years of putting everything into Cadillac, he is stepping away for some personal time, and to consider new avenues in his life."
Butler says his decision is part of a decision to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities." Whatever the reason, it's an unpleasant surprise for Cadillac, which has been on a surge in 2013, with 30-percent jump in sales on the heels of the hot-selling ATS.
